Alps Chemicals manufactures a wide range of Acid and Direct Dyes at its two manufacturing units in the industrial area of Vatva, Ahmedabad with a total annual capacity of 4000 metric tonnes of powder dyes.

The plant is vertically integrated and is well equipped to handle various reactions like sulphonation, diazotization, halogenation, phosgenation, Friedel-craft reactions, Vilsmeier reactions, Grignard reactions etc. It has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification by KPMG for implementing quality systems in the organization.

Alps and the Environment:
As part of its corporate social responsibility, Alps makes unyielding efforts in conserving the environment. Good Housekeeping, Energy Efficiency and Cleaner Production programmes are undertaken on a regular basis to ensure that the plant and its surroundings are maintained and no unnecessary pollutants are released into the environment. The ISO 14000 and ISO 18000 certifications obtained offer testimony to Alps’ commitment towards conserving the environment.

Alps and REACH:
REACH is a new European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances. Alps is preparing itself to register its products for REACH compliance.
